An exceptional antique gilt frame dating from around the 1870s, decorated with an elaborate Rococo Revival pattern.

Description

Deeply moulded corners, shell motifs, delicate flowers and flowing scrollwork create a rich design, while the beautifully aged gold finish gives the frame warmth and character.

Elegant, refined and highly decorative, this is a true statement frame. Its generous depth and sculptural ornamentation make it perfect for a painting, portrait or mirror.

The frame remains in excellent antique condition, with only a few very small chips consistent with its age. These are discreet and do not affect its beauty or decorative impact.
