Description

The overlapping forms, repeated eyes and energetic handling give the work a playful, instinctive character, while the visible strokes create a strong sense of movement.

Karel Appel was one of the central artists associated with the CoBrA movement. His work is recognised for its freedom, vibrant colour and imaginative, highly expressive figures.

We chose this work for its lively character and unusual composition. Despite its intimate size, it has a strong presence and immediately draws the viewer into its colourful world

The work is presented under glass, with a neutral passe-partout and a simple black wooden frame. The frame is not original but gives the composition a clean and balanced presentation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
