Description

The flowers are painted with lively, expressive brushwork in soft shades of blush pink, creamy white and muted green, emerging beautifully against a deep, atmospheric background.

The restrained pastel palette gives the work a gentle, romantic character, while the broad, spontaneous handling keeps it fresh and painterly. We chose this painting for its softness, elegant colour harmony and the beautiful dialogue between the floral subject and its remarkable frame.

Presented in a carved and gilded wooden Montparnasse frame. Its sculptural ornamentation and richly aged surface complement the painting exceptionally well. The frame displays small losses and signs of age, all visible in the photographs, together with a gorgeous, authentic patina that forms an essential part of its character.

Ik zocht een aantal lijsten met afwijkende maten voor schilderijen die ik al heel lang in wilde lijsten. Nadat ik contact opgenomen had, vond ik precies wat ik zocht. Een andere lijst werd keurig voor mij op maat gemaakt. Aantrekkelijke prijzen en alles werd keurig verpakt thuis afgeleverd.
