European School. 19th Century. Still Life with Roses – Oil on Panel

A refined 19th-century still life depicting a bouquet of softly coloured roses arranged in a slender blue glass vase.

Description

The muted green background, delicate pink and ivory tones and fallen petals create a quiet, slightly romantic atmosphere. The flowers are painted with soft, expressive brushwork, while the glass vase brings a beautiful note of colour to the composition.

We chose this work for its elegant proportions, delicate palette and timeless decorative character.

The painting is presented in a fine ebonised wooden frame with ripple-moulded details and a warm gilt inner border. The frame is possibly original to the work and has been lightly restored without affecting its attractive aged patina.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
