An intimate scene depicting three women in traditional embroidered clothing, quietly engaged in making colourful beadwork.
Description
Painted with soft, simplified forms and a restrained palette, the composition is enlivened by the delicate reds, blues and pinks of the floral embroidery and beads.
We chose this work for its unusual subject, its quiet atmosphere and the beautifully observed traditional costumes. The closeness of the three figures gives the scene a strong sense of community and shared domestic ritual.
Presented in an elegant gilded wooden frame with classical moulded decoration. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
